A Romanian school of process facilitation
We train people who lead groups to hold the process rather than fill the room with their own voice. Nine lead facilitators, all of them members of IAF Romania. In-house programmes run in English.
Process facilitation, not training about facilitation
Școala de Facilitare is the first structured programme in Romania dedicated to process facilitation in organisations. Not therapy, not systemic constellations, not community facilitation, not event moderation. The distinction matters commercially: a facilitator is accountable for how a group works, while the content stays with the group. That line, drawn by Edgar Schein, is what separates the role from a trainer, a moderator, a coach or a consultant.
We have been building facilitation skills inside companies and NGOs since 2022. From 2026 the course also opens to individual enrolment. The programme runs across three levels, and they do not have to be taken one after another.
Level 1 — Foundations, 3 days
The shift in posture: from „I'm the one talking" to „I hold the process". For coaches, trainers, managers and HR who lead groups as part of their role. Participants leave with five or six tools they can use the next day and one session they have designed and run themselves.
Level 2 — Practitioner, 5 days
Five days in modules (2+2+1), with real application between them. For people who already facilitate and get stuck at conflict, group decisions or large groups.
Level 3 — Advanced, about 3 months
Three intensive days, a real supervised project and individual mentoring. For people taking facilitation towards a profession, or into complex contexts such as conferences and transformation processes.
What this is not
Not an IAF certification programme and not a nationally accredited qualification. Those are three different things and we keep them apart. Participants receive a certificate of completion from the school, awarded on demonstrated practice, not attendance.
A note on language
The open course is delivered in person, in Bucharest, in Romanian. Facilitation is learned in the room, with people, because what you are actually training is what you do when the group in front of you reacts.
In-house programmes for organisations are delivered in English on request, with the same lead facilitators and the same structure. If your team works in English, that is the route.

Nine lead facilitators, one chapter
The school is a Facilitare.ro project. It was founded by Bogdan Grigore, who has delivered more than 500 workshops over 20 years. He co-founded IAF Romania, the local chapter of the International Association of Facilitators, where he served as president and is now VP Partnerships on the board. He is part of the IAF EME Leadership Team (Europe & Middle East) and teaches as a Guest Professor at the University of Bucharest. He also founded Improvizatie.ro, the first applied improvisation company for business in Romania.
He teaches alongside eight other lead facilitators working in strategy and team effectiveness, AI literacy and leadership, strategic foresight, design thinking, sociocracy and collaborative governance, LEGO® Serious Play®, psychology and continuous learning, and graphic facilitation. All nine are members of IAF Romania, and five of them sit on the chapter board alongside him: VP Finance, VP Digital, VP Programs, VP Member Experience and Chapter Lead.

Frequently asked questions
Is the course taught in English?
The open course is taught in Romanian, in person, in Bucharest. In-house programmes for organisations are delivered in English on request, with the same lead facilitators and the same structure.
Is this an IAF certification?
No. Școala de Facilitare is independent: it is not an IAF certification programme and it does not issue accredited national qualifications. The lead facilitators are members of IAF Romania, several of them on the chapter board. IAF credentials are obtained individually, directly from IAF.
What do participants leave with?
A certificate of completion from Școala de Facilitare, awarded on demonstrated practice rather than attendance: it is issued after a participant has designed and run an actual session, not after three days in the room.
